A large government agency had limited cloud experience, misaligned local skillsets and resources, hundreds of outdated on-premises applications, and numerous unconnected datasets. Additionally, the agency had many technical individuals but limited strategic or operational understanding of the needs and approach to implement and maintain.
iVision Consulting and its partners used education, excellence, and efficiency to collaborate and move a small application build to a larger strategic architecture for more tenants. Our team acted to think about strategy, problems, and people and then sought to address the most appropriate technology platform and applications to address the issues and needs. The initial scope was to operate and maintain an outdated application. Once our team was fully operational, we started to develop an understanding through the development of use cases based on stakeholders’ needs and inefficient data processing and outcomes. Our team used this information along with our technical understanding to provide the senior clients with a thought leadership approach to developing a gradual roadmap to building and deploying a multi-tenancy OCI reference architecture. iVision Consulting eventually built and deployed a multi-tenancy reference architecture (OCI), secured the ATO, onboarded the initial applications and has been working as a thought leader to continue to grow and maintain the utilization of the tenancy, features, bring more workloads to the cloud and run and operate on a daily basis.
